Here's Cory Doctorow posting on BoingBoing to flag an article about the end of the world:

Unfortunately, as the highlighted comments point out, that article was written almost exactly four years ago in 2004, as indicated by the date in its byline and the mention of John Kerry standing for US election. The world hasn't ended yet. That BoingBoing post has now been removed, replaced by a series of posts from Doctorow including one flagging a documentary about Doctorow.

UPDATE BoingBoing errors are usually admitted to with deleted text or 'update' sections. Deleting entire articles is unusual.
